What's GSK

Non-profit organization Gengo-Shigen-Kyokai (GSK) (literally “Language Resources Association”) was established in June of 2003. By promoting the distribution of language resources such as speech data, lexicons, text corpora, terminology, and various tools for language processing, GSK aims at contributing to speech / natural language processing technology, research, and industrial development that require these language resources, as well as to the advancement of research in the linguistic field. To do this, we are promoting both the offering of services, and a system for circulation of language resources with accepted value and awareness by both language resource providers and language resource users. In addition, we are trying for international contributions to language research and speech / natural language processing technology by not limiting our target to resources within Japan, but expanding in the near future through out the whole of Asia.
